The course content addresses the following topics:
- Relevant legislative requirements as an appreciation of the nature and extent of the social and economic forces that underpin the relationship between unions, employers' organisations, and employers, and the way in which courts, organised business, organised labour, and government respond to these forces
- Policy decisions underlying the relevant legislative provisions and current debates on the adequacy of the regulatory framework
- Recent cases, statutory provisions, and controversial issues
- Amendments to the Labour Relations Act and other legislation and their implications
