Overview
This course equips professionals with practical skills to assess, manage, and improve the safety and reliability of water systems in buildings. It covers South African water legislation, water quality standards, risk identification, and water safety planning. Participants will learn how to evaluate water supply risks, apply compliance requirements such as SANS 241 and Blue Drop standards, and implement effective risk management strategies. The course also explores treatment options, alternative water supply systems, and practical tools for maintaining safe, reliable building water services in the South African context. A quality-assured certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand is issued on successful completion. This course carries CPD accreditation from the Plumbing Board.
