Overview
This course explores the evolving role of business in society and the growing importance of corporate social responsibility (CSR) in driving sustainable development across Africa. Participants will examine corporate social investment, impact investing, sustainability reporting, philanthropy, and community development strategies. The course provides practical insights into how organisations can create social value while balancing business objectives and stakeholder expectations. Participants will develop an understanding of ethical leadership, responsible business practices, and the principles that underpin effective social impact initiatives, equipping them to contribute meaningfully to CSR, ESG, and sustainability programmes. A quality-assured certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand is issued on successful completion.
