Overview
In the Litigating Competition Law Cases participants are exposed to the practical aspects of how a competition case will play out in court. Participants will gain exposure to all the procedural aspects that occur before, during and after cases are presented in court.

    The course consists of the following modules:


    • The jurisdiction of competition authorities;
    • Forming a cause of action- or defending a party;
    • Theories of harm;
    • Preparation of papers;
    • The treatment of evidence, and in particular expert evidence from economists;
    • Examination and cross-examination of witnesses;
    • Written and oral argument;
    • Appealing a tribunal decision;
    • Presentation of written argument and oral argument on appeal; and
    • The role of the Constitutional Court.
