Overview
This HPCSA-aligned internship prepares MA Drama Therapy graduates for professional registration as independent Drama Therapy practitioners. Participants receive supervised clinical, educational, and community-based training through approved internship placements, individual and group supervision, and specialist workshops. The course develops advanced competencies in therapeutic assessment, treatment planning, case management, ethical practice, and multidisciplinary collaboration. Participants will strengthen their ability to apply drama therapy methodologies across diverse settings while engaging in reflective practice, case study presentations, and ongoing professional supervision to meet the Health Professions Council of South Africa's internship requirements. A quality-assured certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand is issued on successful completion.
