This course aims to develop students' knowledge about leadership and governance systems for implementing infrastructure procurement and delivery management successfully. This course can be credited towards the Postgraduate Diploma in Construction Management.

    • Work flow associated with the construction, rehabilitation, or refurbishment of infrastructure in accordance with the Infrastructure Delivery Management System (IDMS) control framework
    • Procurement tactics and different types of contracts
    • Principles and concepts of collaborative construction procurement approaches, including implementation strategies for framework agreements such as target contracts and early contractor involvement
    • Procurement strategy including the strategies relating to packaging, contracting, pricing, and targeting options
    • Governance systems and control frameworks required to comply with public sector procurement policy and standards for infrastructure procurement and delivery management
    • Role of the client in the efficient and effective management of projects for the purpose of achieving value for money
    • Key aspects of National Treasury's framework for infrastructure delivery and procurement management.
