    • Infrastructure assets of an organisation (an inventory)
    • Infrastructure asset management plan as prescribed in the Framework for Infrastructure
    • Delivery and Procurement Management (FIDPM) published by National Treasury (or any other framework published by government)
    • Programme for sustaining an organisation's assets through deterioration modeling, planned maintenance, repair, and replacement strategies
    • Information systems that can be used in support of asset management systems
    • Ongoing and expected levels of service
    • Life-cycle cost of assets and sources of finance for maintenance actions throughout the service life of an asset
