Overview
This course provides an in-depth understanding of environmental risk assessment, focusing on developing practical skills to manage environmental risks within a structured framework. Students will explore integrated environmental management systems (IEMS), environmental auditing, ecological and social impact assessments, and the ISO 14001 Environmental Lifecycle Approach. The course emphasises practical application, enabling students to develop, implement, and monitor risk management plans aligned to an organisation's environmental processes. Ideal for those pursuing careers in environmental compliance, sustainability consulting, or corporate responsibility, this course will enable students to contribute to responsible environmental governance. A quality-assured certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand is issued on successful completion.
