Overview
English Fundamentals Part 1 aims to improve candidates' speaking, writing, listening, and reading skills. Candidates are exposed to a variety of texts as well as the fundamentals of English grammar and brainstorming.

    The course content addresses the following topics:


    • Reading: internet news reports, magazine interviews, newspaper articles, short biographies, short texts, conducting research  
    • Listening: news reports, interviews, short talks
    • Speaking: weather and season preferences, types of media, life experiences, food and diets, family life and different types of families, the causes and effects of global warming 
    • Writing: comparative paragraphs about the advantages and disadvantages of a given subject, short email to give advice, short narrative story about a personal experience, two paragraphs about predictions for the future, the writing process
    • Grammar: understanding and correctly applying a variety of grammar structures at a low pre-intermediate level
