Overview
This course explores the legislative and strategic frameworks that underpin Broad-Based Black Economic Empowerment (B-BBEE) and organisational transformation in South Africa. Students will gain insight into B-BBEE scorecards, verification processes, employment equity, skills development, ownership measurement, and procurement strategies. The course also includes a practical focus on public finance, risk management, and financial reporting in line with the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA). Through analysis and application of policies and codes, students will be equipped to evaluate, audit, and implement equitable and sustainable transformation practices in both public and private sectors. Assessment consists of a written group assignment and an individual written task. A quality-assured certificate from the University of the Witwatersrand is issued on successful completion.

Normal track: 7 Months | Fast track: 6 Weeks
Format
Normal track: 8 days of lectures + 6 months for Portfolio of Evidence Fast track: 8 days of lectures + 1 month for Portfolio of Evidence
